Understanding Light Fixture Installation
Light fixture installation includes the fitting itself, its electrical connection and the support that holds its weight. A decorative canopy covers the connection; it does not replace a suitable mounting box.
What the Visit Covers
We assess the fixture weight, hanging height and controls before installation. A new fixture may differ from the old one. Send the model and a photo of the location.

Check the Support Before Hanging the Fixture
A heavy fitting needs support rated for that fitting. We check the box, attachment and access before deciding whether the existing mount can stay. If the wiring has no equipment ground, we assess that condition against the fixture requirements before proceeding. A new fixture location is wired from a suitable existing circuit as its own scope item. Panel work and aluminum branch wiring are outside our scope.
