What the Visit Covers

The visit follows the routes the person uses each day, one room at a time. You do not have to know what is needed. We look, ask how you move, and explain what we see.

  • Bathroom: entering and leaving the shower or tub, standing from the toilet, the reach to controls and the support available in the walls
  • Stairs and hallways: handrails, footing, lighting on the route and the hardware on the doors
  • Entries: the front step, thresholds, the door hardware and the lighting at the door
  • Lighting on daily routes, including night routes to the bathroom
  • Door handles and locks that are hard to grip or turn

What You Receive

A findings sheet, room by room, in plain language. A written scope for the work we could confirm on site, with one total. A short list of anything that needs a measurement or a product check before it can be quoted. The sheet is yours to keep and share with family or a therapist.

You are not required to approve installation work.

Arranging This for a Parent

You can join in person or by phone. The person who lives in the home stays part of the conversation, and we explain the findings plainly to them. Bring any recommendations from an occupational therapist or discharge planner; we review the installation requirements against them.
